**"America's Got Talent" Crowns Richard Goodall, Indiana's 'Singing Janitor,' as 2024 Winner**
*America's Got Talent* has crowned its latest champion: Richard Goodall, the beloved "singing janitor" from Indiana, known for his viral audition of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'." Goodall, sporting his signature paperboy hat, took home the top prize during the *AGT* finale on Tuesday night.
Goodall, who earned Heidi Klum’s coveted Golden Buzzer, emerged victorious over nine other finalists, including Tanzanian acrobatic group Hakuna Matata Acrobats, Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi, and Japanese dance troupe AIRFOOTWORKS. The final showdown came down to Goodall and the Israeli dog-act duo, Roni Sagi and Rhythm.
In a thrilling moment, Goodall was joined on stage by Journey's Neal Schon to perform "Don't Stop Believin'," the song that launched his viral journey. Throughout the competition, Goodall wowed audiences with powerhouse performances of Michael Bolton's "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger," and Journey's "Faithfully."
The finale also featured special appearances from Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, Michael Bublé, Steve Aoki, Gabriel Iglesias, and Andra Day. Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, SofÃa Vergara, and host Terry Crews all praised Goodall's humility and powerful voice, with Klum cheering him on: "You are such an amazing man... When you're behind the microphone, you're a big rockstar!"
Cowell hailed Goodall as a hero, while Mandel predicted his victory, saying, "I think you just sang yourself $1 million."
Goodall’s win marked a fitting end to *America’s Got Talent* Season 19.
